Superintendent's Message

Dear SFUSD Families,

We are excited to celebrate the milestone of welcoming our youngest learners back into school buildings. Thank you for the care and support that you are providing your child as we continue to navigate unprecedented times. No matter if you are learning in-person or staying in distance learning for now, your students are important members of their classroom and school communities. At SFUSD we remain committed to a full return to in-person learning for the Fall 2021 semester as long as public health guidance allows it. We are excited to share the upcoming resources and opportunities below. Thank you for your continued partnership.

Sincerely,
Dr. Vincent Matthews

Return Safely Together
This week, SFUSD welcomed back some students to in-person learning at 11 early education preschool sites, 22 elementary schools, and three County Schools. We will continue to reopen sites and add grade levels to sites that have already reopened throughout the month of April. SFUSD has committed to welcoming all students for full in-person learning five days a week next school year starting August 16 as public health conditions allow. Get the latest timeline, updates, and information for our in-person learning plans.
Summer Together

Families eligible for early enrollment will be notified starting April 19. Sign up to get notified when general enrollment begins on May 8.
