Superintendent's Message

Dear Families: Please know that we are committed to working with you to make this the best school year we can for our students.  We encourage you to check out the family distance learning guide on our website sfusd.edu for more details about what to expect as we head back to school. In it there are many links to where you can find more resources for helping your child. Please reach out to your child’s school if you have any questions or need support. If you still need help or have trouble reaching someone, you can contact SFUSD through the Student and Family Resource LinkBeing a parent and guardian can be extra challenging right now. We are in this together and together, we’ll get through this!

We just completed a Family Distance Learning Guide. This guide is meant to be a resource to complement information from your child’s school and on our website, and highlights key topics and expectations around distance learning.

Participate in the 2020 Census!
Complete your Census survey by September 30, 2020.
An accurate survey count impacts federal funds that school communities receive for special education, classroom technology, after-school programs, and so much more.  You can respond to the survey online, by phone (844-330-2020), or mail.  Everyone is counted in the U.S. regardless of immigration status.

Apply now for your school meal benefits. The Multipurpose Family Income form for the 2020-2021 school year is now available online. A new application needs to be submitted each school year to qualify for meal benefits.
The 2020-2021 Student & Family Handbook is a way to understand the rights that you have in the district. It is a place where the district also outlines our expectations for students and families.
SFUSD families: Make sure your Family Portal (ParentVUE) account is activated! Learn about how you can use ParentVUE to see your student's information in one login.
