SFUSD and UASF Announce Multi-Year Tentative Agreement
Agreement Promotes Fiscal Responsibility and Districtwide Stability; Honors Administrators’ Contributions

San Francisco (October 28, 2025) - San Francisco Unified School District (SFUSD) Superintendent Dr. Maria Su and United Administrators of San Francisco (UASF) today announced they have reached a tentative Collective Bargaining Agreement for the next three school years – 2025-26, 2026-27, and 2027-28.

The agreement reflects the financial guidelines established by the Board of Education and the California Department of Education. The next step in this collaborative process is for UASF members to review and vote on the tentative agreement for ratification. The Board of Education also must approve the tentative agreement at an upcoming meeting. UASF represents approximately 260 administrators in SFUSD, including principals, assistant principals, supervisors, and program administrators.

“We are thrilled to have reached a tentative agreement with our partners in UASF,” said SFUSD Superintendent Dr. Maria Su. “Reaching this agreement provides districtwide stability that enables us to stay focused on student learning and outcomes. We also recognize and deeply appreciate our school administrators whose hard work is essential to supporting our students, staff, and families every day.”

“We’re grateful for our school leaders and the vital role they play in supporting our students and staff every day,” Board of Education President Phil Kim said. “As we continue to address deficit spending and meet our financial obligations, we’ve worked closely with the California Department of Education to ensure the agreement is fiscally responsible and supports the long-term health of our district.”

I am excited that we were able to reach a tentative agreement last night,” said Anna Klafter, UASF President. “This agreement recognizes the hard work that administrators do while protecting key elements of our contract and acknowledging our fiscal reality. We know that strong leaders create strong schools and the students and families of San Francisco deserve the best.”

SFUSD remains engaged in negotiations for a Collective Bargaining Agreement with its other labor partners, including United Educators of San Francisco (UESF), Service Employees International Union Local 1021, International Federation of Professional and Technical Engineers Local 21, and Common Crafts, which encompass eleven (11) bargaining units.
