Wellness Tip From a Yoga Teacher:
Try Mini Sun Salutations! They are a way to celebrate the changing seasons and to find calm during a busy day. Pause at each step and breathe.
- Start in Mountain Pose. Stand with your legs shoulder-width apart and bring your arms to your sides.
- Raise your arms up above your head.
- Bend over at your waist and let your arms hang down in Forward Fold.
- Place your hands on the floor (knees can be deeply bent) and walk your feet back into a Downward Dog posture.
- Walk your feet back toward your hands. Find Forward Fold again.
- Slowly roll up to standing. Mountain Pose.
Exercise within your limits. Never force, strain, or practice through pain. Seek medical attention and advice as appropriate. |
